October 21, 2021. 7 - Predicted End of Will

Paco Aramburu's view on destiny was shaped when he had to escape Argentina. His short story, Predicted End of Will, started when his protagonist saw a woman on the El train reading about her own destiny. His story was inspired by Bruno Surdo's painting, Flora of the Subway. Bruno talked about the logistics of composing this painting and his two other paintings Set It Free and Still in Motion.


September 5, 2021. 6 - Superman

Julie Justicz had a different take on Superman for her short story after viewing Sandra Dawson's painting of the same title. Yet they were both thinking of a crisis. Here they were sharing about what they have in common. Julie also talked about her book Degrees of Difficulty, and Sandra talked about the themes of her paintings. Her painting House of Twigs was featured in the Living Artists book.


August 13, 2021. 6 - Elvis Has Left the Building

James Flanigan wrote Elvis Has Left the Building after viewing Eric Semelroth's pastel painting, Imitation a la King. Here Jim talked about the train of thoughts for his story. He also shared about his new anthology, Beyond and Eric showed a painting of a Lincoln impersonator, titled The Great Emancipator Impersonator, and a painting of Leon Spinks, titled Prizefighter.


March 30, 2021. 5 - Disappearing Act

Elizabeth DeSchryver, the author of Disappearing Act, met with two of the artists whose work she selected for her short story. Katherine Grossfeld's painting was Sparkle and Susan Hall's painting was Gift.

A conversation with Barbara Joyce, the author of The Age of Reason, a short story inspired by Eric Semelroth's painting, Muslim Madonna.

A conversation with author Elizabeth DeSchryver and artist Jacqueline Moses about Quiet Invasions, a story written by Beth and inspired by Jackie's painting of the same title. This is the first of a series of author-artist showcase.

Recent artwork of Jacqueline Moses, Susan Hall, John Rush, Sandra Dawson, and Izumi Yoshitani were also shown.
